Perfect for what I use it for. July 29, 2010 Matthew S. Spurlock (Barboursville, WV) I had very low expectations for this little guy, and I must say that I'm pleasantly surprised. It leaks oil horribly, but it won't heat up enough for that to be a problem. It isn't as strong as my Ryobi reciprocating saw, but I have gotten some good use out of it.
I have an 8 year-old son that I'm introducing to power tools, and this has been perfect for him.
If you plan on actually using this thing for its intended purpose, you are better off buying a nice pruning blade for your sawzall. This little guy isn't going to cut through anything bigger than it's tiny 10" bar is thick. But if you have a kid that wants to cut down trees with daddy, then by all means pick this guy up.
Good for small jobs September 25, 2009 K. Taylor My wife wanted a saw for small jobs around the yard, this is perfect for it. No cords to deal with, cuts well and easy to handle. Only issue is the battery life is short, so have extras ready if you have a lot to do.
Very Useful August 30, 2009 Courtney D. Skjerven 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I have a gas powered chainsaw, but find this product has many practical uses. It is great for trimming branches because you don't need to keep it running. It does a great job. I have had it 2 weeks and have used it 5 times. May sure you have a couple lith. batteries. They last about a half hour with this tool.
Glorified Hedge Trimmer August 29, 2009 L. Press (Rockville, Maryland USA) Anything thicker than a few inches, you might as well use a hand tree saw. This saw is good for quick cuts of small branches, but it just can't handle anything larger than that. It is what it is. For the price, it's hard to complain too much, but I was hoping for a touch more power.
Surprisingly useful June 3, 2009 W. Pugh (Deep South, USA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I have two of these (I guess I was so impressed by the first). No trouble in quickly dropping a 12 inch oak tree. Battery life ... depends on the age of the battery: if the battery is say three years old it may indicate that it is fully charged but it won't run this saw very long.
