It works... every time. It punches all the nails appropriately and dependably, and feels comfortable in the hand. At the end of the day it gets a few drops of oil and that's the end of the maintenance. Exactly what a tool should be and do.

I bought one of these about two years ago and have been very happy with it. It functions well and the nails are easy to find. Both Lowes and Home Depot carry the nails, so you don't have to worry about running out mid-project. The only complaint I have is that it does seem a bit heavy. It's not really an issue for me since I only use it occasionally, but if I were going to be using it on a regular basis, I'd check into the alternatives to see if I could find a lighter one.

I purchased a NEW Senco 602 a couple of years ago in anticipation of beginning my remodel. I bought my Senco due to its good reputation at that time. I started this month and from the very first (reading and trying to understand the operating instructions) I was unhappy. Operating pressures were not given, routine maintenance instructions were lacking, and that's the good part of my Senco experience.
I lubed my nailer as ordered and went to work putting up 1/2" plywood sheeting. Guessed that I would start at 50 # pressure which I now know isn't even 1/2 enough. Got maybe 20 nails shot before the first misfire (refusal to load and fire the next nail. Cleared it and got maybe 5 or six more nails driven before the next 'misfire'. So this continued before I placed the gun down in disgust.
Called the Senco 1-800 number the next morning and was told that "you shouldn't have left the gun in the package for two years" and " the 'O' ring seals may be bad after two years of non-use". I know that the warranty is one year. I asked if they would pay for the seals replacement and they said that they "couldn't - we don't repair our nail guns". I told the man that I would never buy anything with the SENCO label. He very nicely said "good bye" - I'll bet that he has heard words like mine a lot recently. No wonder they are in receivership!!! More American jobs down the toilet.
So, I took my Senco POC to a Senco authorized repair shop and told them to fix it so it will work well or give it back to me and I'll buy a Hitachi. They said that the Hitachi(SP?) is a a much better nail gun and that my POC was made in China and is, in deed, is a very nice looking POC.
Haven't heard from the repair shop yet but needless to say, I recommend that you purchase a HITACHI - not a Senco.
I would rate my SENCO 602 as ZERO STARS - A COMPLETE WASTE ON MY MONEY.
Good Nail Gun December 3, 2009

Product was received in good condition and performed as expected. The only difficulty I had was in removing the nails from the magazine to change nail size. This was due to the way the gun is designed and until I located the proper release lever on the pusher I was scratching my head. ( it has been years since I used a framing nailer) This is not a lightweight gun and overhead work can be tiring, but it drves a 16 size nail with ease and makes short work of large nailing projects.
