| Customer Reviews: This works great!!-if you actually folow the directions! February 22, 2009 M. Taylor (Tucson, AZ) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
To my regret, I bought this on eBay for $20 more than it is here on Amazon. If you truly follow the directions, you won't have any problems. 1-You must oil as directed before and after every use-that's cheap, easy, and saves a lot of heartache. 2-You must use the viscosity stick test gauge and properly thin the paint per the directions. I use water for latex paints (not the expensive recommended product)and have absolutely no problems whatsoever. 3-Properly clean and oil it after each use. I've used mine for 2 years without any troubles. Using unthinned latex straight out of the can will cause very soon seizer of the piston.
Piece of Junk! October 4, 2006 Scaramouche (Redlands, CA United States) 17 out of 18 found this review helpful
I bought one of these things and it was the biggest piece of crap I've ever wasted my money and time on. It absolutely did not work. I followed all of the instructions meticulously, and even added the special thinning stuff Wagner sells to put in the paint. At first it would just spray unevenly, with large gobs and globs flying out and dripping on the floor, then after about a minute it would completely stop. It did this seven times, and each time I took it completely apart, cleaned it thouroughly according to the instrucions, and reassembled it. After I finally gave up, I had wasted a lot of paint and made a huge mess in my living room. It took me the rest of the day to clean up the mess. I contacted the dealer to get a refund, but they basically told me it was tough luck, since I had used the sprayer. They could not explain to me how I was supposed to have known it was no good unless I tried using it. Overall, a total swindle. Every time I see the tv commercials for these things I have to laugh and sympathize with all the poor suckers who are fooled into buying them.
to much work September 21, 2006 Dan Briggs (CA, USA) 11 out of 12 found this review helpful
I bought these 2 units off the TV add and it it wasn't so much trouble I would return them.. The ampunt of oversray with this is considerable and do't even think about using it indoors at all. Oh yes, don't let it accidently drop as the connector couplin breaks very easily.
